Learning Differences Network
The Learning Differences Network (LDN) was created eight years ago by Head-Royce parents to ensure that students with learning differences* are appropriately supported at school and at home. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive forum for lower, middle, and upper school parents to discuss their challenges and perspectives, learn more about the resources available, and to work closely with the Head-Royce faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees.
The Learning Differences Network meets four or five evenings each school year. We frequently host speakers on topics of interest to parents of students with learning differences. Presentations have included the writing process, foreign language acquisition, mathematics, college admissions, prescription medications, homework and emotional issues. School administration and learning specialists join our meetings to ensure good communication among the school and parents. This year, we will again host a panel of HRS students with learning differences who will share their experiences.
